Cymbalta dosage: What is the recommended amount?
Cymbalta dosage for adults:
Major Depression
The
usual starting Cymbalta dosage is between 40 mg and 60 mg per day. The
initial 40 mg Cymbalta dosage may taken as as one 20 mg tablet taken twice a
day and the starting dosage of 60 mg may be achieved by taking a 60 mg
capsule once a day or by taking a 30 mg capsule twice a day.
Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
The usual recommended
Cymbalta
dosage for peripheral neuropathy is 60 mg taken once a day.
Cymbalta
dosage for children:
The safety and effectiveness
has not been established for children under the age of 18.
Cymbalta
dosage : Older
adults
The usual Cymbalta
dosage for older adults is the same as that recommended for other adults. Always
consult your physician before taking this or any medication.
Cymbalta
Overdosage:
Any medication taken in
excess of the recommended dosage can have serious consequences. If you suspect
that you or another individual have been overdosed seek medical attention
immediately.
Cymbalta overdosage alone or
in combination with other drugs may have serious consequences.
